Heritage Appraisers, Inc. is the largest independent jewelry appraisal company in the United States and provides high-quality appraisals in numerous locations nationwide. Privately owned and run since 2006, our purpose is to provide people with comprehensive, unbiased, factual, and professional appraisal services that meet their insurance and personal needs. Heritage Appraisers provides jewelry appraisals to over 250 retail stores across the country.
Our Story
Twelve years ago, founder Stephen Lott recognized that there as a need he could fill in the appraisal aspect of the jewelry industry. As demand for appraisals increased, appraisers were often bogged down with time-consuming processes and clunky software solutions. Customers had a dissatisfying experience, unsure if their insurance company would accept their appraisal or if they could access the information for future reference.
Mr. Lott built a network of qualified appraisers and partnered with trusted retail stores to create a new program. Then, after recognizing the need for an easy to use and accessible jewelry appraisal software, he developed The Loupe. Through The Loupe, appraisers can create professional jewelry appraisals anytime, anywhere, and from any computer or devices. Now, Heritage Appraisers performs over 30,000 jewelry appraisals for customers throughout the country each year using The Loupe.

Our Appraisers
All of our appraisers are graduate gemologists from the Gemological Institute of America. We take pride in the high approval rate of our insurance appraisals and have an A+ rating from the BBB. Our professional appraisal services are not subject to the retailer and remain entirely independent. No matter where you purchased your jewelry, Heritage Appraisers is committed to you and the guidelines set by the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers.

Qualifications
- Must be willing to travel.
- Must be able to complete appraisals while a client waits.
- Must be a GIA graduate gemologist or have equivalent gemological education.
- Must be a member of the National Jewelry Appraisal Association.
- Must be computer literate.
